WalksBB
BB stands for base on balls in baseball. Four balls, and the batter takes first base without swinging at a strike. Also called free passes.
How BB is calculated
Counted. A walk is not an at-bat, so it does not lower a batting average.
What counts as a good BB?
Half of the 431 qualified MLB players in 2026 were at or below 30. Clearing 66 put a season in the top tenth of the league.
