H stands for hits in baseball. Times a batter reached base safely on a batted ball, without an error or a fielder’s choice. A home run counts as a hit; a walk or a hit-by-pitch does not.

Half of the 431 qualified MLB players in 2026 were at or below 78. Clearing 146 put a season in the top tenth of the league.
