Strikeouts SO
SO stands for strikeouts in baseball. Times a batter struck out. This is the hitter’s side of the strikeout. Also called punchouts or Ks.
How SO is calculated
Counted as SO in the batting line.
A pitcher’s strikeouts are labelled K in this database and SO in a batting line, so "strikeouts" means opposite things depending on which side of the ball you are reading.
