The leaders in caught stealing are usually also leaders in steals: a runner has to try often to be thrown out often.

What counts as a good CS?

Half of the 183 qualified MLB players in 2026 were at or below 3. The tenth with the most were above 7.8, which is where the number stops being a good sign.
