How W% is calculated
W% = W ÷ (W + L)
Wins depend on run support and the bullpen, so this rate says as much about a pitcher’s team as about him.
What counts as a good W%?
Half of the 137 qualified MLB players in 2026 were at or below .500. Clearing .695 put a season in the top tenth of the league.
