3PTM stands for 3-pointers made in basketball. Shots made from behind the three-point arc — 23 feet 9 inches at the top, 22 in the corners. Other sites write it 3PM or FG3M.

How 3PTM is calculated

3PTM counts toward FGM as well; PTS credits it three instead of two.

The corner three is the shortest shot on the arc and the most efficient shot in basketball outside the restricted area, which is why offenses stand shooters there.

What counts as a good 3PTM?

Half of the 384 qualified NBA players in 2025-26 were at or below 1.2 per game. Clearing 2.5 put a season in the top tenth of the league.
