Yards the offense gained on completed passes, credited to the quarterback who threw them.

How YDS is calculated

Net passing yards = yards on completions − yards lost on sacks.

The yardage is credited from the line of scrimmage to where the receiver is downed, so a two-yard pass that turns into an 80-yard run is 80 passing yards.

What counts as a good YDS?

Half of the 45 qualified NFL players in 2025 were at or below 2,549. Clearing 4031.6 put a season in the top tenth of the league.
