INT stands for interceptions thrown in football. Passes caught by the defense, charged against the quarterback who threw them.

How INT is calculated

Counted. The same play is an interception for the defender and an interception thrown for the passer.

Interceptions are among the least repeatable quarterback statistics year to year — tipped balls and dropped picks make a single season a poor guide to the next.

What counts as a good INT?

Half of the 45 qualified NFL players in 2025 were at or below 7. The tenth with the most were above 12, which is where the number stops being a good sign.
