Points per reception PPR
PPR stands for points per reception in football. The score a player earns for a fantasy football team: yards, touchdowns and catches turned into points, less interceptions and lost fumbles, with a point for every catch. Also called fantasy points or PPR scoring. Other sites write it FPTS.
How PPR is calculated
PPR = passing yards ÷ 25 + 4 × passing TD − 2 × INT + (rushing + receiving yards) ÷ 10 + 6 × TD scored + 2 × two-point conversions scored − 2 × fumbles lost + receptions. Half-PPR counts a catch as 0.5, standard as 0.
The catch point is what separates the formats: Cooper Kupp’s 2021 was 439.5 points in PPR and 294.5 in standard, because his 145 catches were worth 145 points in one and nothing in the other. A two-point conversion thrown is not on ESPN’s season line, so a quarterback who threw one reads 2 points short of the fantasy sites.
What counts as a good PPR?
Half of the 495 qualified NFL players in 2025 were at or below 59.1. Clearing 218.5 put a season in the top tenth of the league.
