Power-Play Goals PPG
PPG stands for power-play goals in hockey. Goals scored while the other team had a player in the penalty box.
How PPG is calculated
Counted. A goal scored while the opponent is short-handed ends a minor penalty early.
What counts as a good PPG?
Half of the 346 qualified NHL players in 2025-26 were at or below 4. Clearing 10 put a season in the top tenth of the league.
