Points PTS
PTS stands for points in hockey. A skater’s goals and assists together — the number a scoring title is decided by.
How PTS is calculated
The Art Ross Trophy goes to the NHL’s points leader. Gretzky’s 215 points in 1985-86 remain the single-season record.
What counts as a good PTS?
Half of the 675 qualified NHL players in 2025-26 were at or below 26. Clearing 65 put a season in the top tenth of the league.
