SO stands for shutouts in hockey. Games in which the goalie allowed no goals. Two goalies who split a clean game both go without one.
How SO is calculated
Counted, for a goalie who played the whole game; shootout goals do not count against it.

What counts as a good SO?
Half of the 47 qualified NHL players in 2025-26 were at or below 2. Clearing 4 put a season in the top tenth of the league.
