Goalie Fantasy Points FP
FP stands for goalie fantasy points in hockey. A goalie’s score in a fantasy hockey points league: wins, saves and shutouts add points, goals allowed take them away. Also called fantasy hockey goalie points.
How FP is calculated
ESPN default = 4 × W + 1 × OTL + 3 × SO + 0.2 × SV − 2 × GA. Yahoo default = 5 × W + 5 × SO + 0.6 × SV − 3 × GA.
Yahoo pays three times ESPN’s rate for a save and charges more for a goal, so a busy goalie on a weak team scores better there than in ESPN’s league. Skaters are not scored on these pages: both sites count hits and blocked shots, which ESPN’s feed does not carry.
What counts as a good FP?
Half of the 69 qualified NHL players in 2025-26 were at or below 46.0. Clearing 117.1 put a season in the top tenth of the league.
