BlocksBLK
BLK stands for blocks in basketball. Deflecting an opponent’s shot on its way to the rim. Also called blocked shots.
How BLK is calculated
Counted. Credited even when the offense recovers the loose ball.
Blocks only count shot attempts, so the best rim protectors are undercounted: the shots they talk players out of taking never appear anywhere.
What counts as a good BLK?
Half of the 406 qualified NBA players in 2025-26 were at or below 0.3 per game. Clearing 1.0 put a season in the top tenth of the league.
