How STL/TO is calculated
STL/TO = steals ÷ turnovers
Wings who rarely handle the ball dominate it, because the denominator is small. It reads as a role marker more than a skill.
What counts as a good STL/TO?
Half of the 424 qualified NBA players in 2025-26 were at or below 0.6. Clearing 1.2 put a season in the top tenth of the league.
