Yards gained after catching a pass, counted from the line of scrimmage to where the play ended.

How YDS is calculated

Yards per reception = receiving yards ÷ receptions

The same yards are credited twice in the box score — to the receiver here and to the passer as passing yards — so team totals never add up by summing players across categories.

What counts as a good YDS?

Half of the 203 qualified NFL players in 2025 were at or below 408. Clearing 936.0 put a season in the top tenth of the league.
