DQ stands for disqualifications in basketball. Games the player fouled out of by committing a sixth personal foul.
How DQ is calculated
Counted. Lower is better.
Big men who defend the rim foul out most. It is rare now: a whole season’s leaders often have fewer than ten.
What counts as a good DQ?
Half of the 14 qualified NBA players in 2026-27 were at or below 1. The tenth with the most were above 1, which is where the number stops being a good sign.
