Time on Ice per Game TOI
TOI stands for time on ice per game in hockey. How long a player is on the ice per game, in minutes and seconds. Other sites write it ATOI.
How TOI is calculated
ATOI = total time on ice ÷ games played. A shift usually lasts 40 to 50 seconds.
Defencemen log the most: a top pair plays 24 to 27 minutes a night, a first-line forward 19 to 22, a fourth-liner under 10.
